McKenzie's 2nd Birthday

McKenzie spent the day of her birthday with mommy. I took her to Bryan Lake at the campus of Lyon College in hopes of getting some frame worthy pictures of her. She had a great time while we were there and the ducks were glad to see us go! We had an ice cream cake that night to celebrate.

A Play Date with Bennett Jansen

Bennett is the son of McKenzie's godparents, Stephen and Lindsie Jansen. They came all the way from Alaska for a play date with McKenzie and to see their families of course! McKenzie and Bennett seemed to be really curious about one another.

I wanna be like Mike

I have zero musical talent...so hopefully McKenzie will inherit the musical talents of her daddy and her uncle Mike! She's already showing some interest in the guitar.

Silly McKenzie

McKenzie loves playing with her daddy's hats. She usually goes for the cowboy hat, but I guess she was feeling the baseball cap more this time!


Yeah...I know I'm COOL!

Messy McKenzie

McKenzie has a meal time tradition of putting her plate on top of her head after she is finished eating. I'm not sure why she finds this to be an act of necessity, but it in turn makes bath time a necessity!

Yes...that is chicken nuggets and ketchup in her hair.


And yes...she thinks it is VERY funny!

My Little Cowgirl

McKenzie LOVES her rocking horse (great gift aunt Brook) and now she has discovered the cowboy hat...a MUST HAVE accessory when riding your horse! Here are some pics of her proving that cowgirls DO have all the fun!
